Summer camp
"Stephen the King" rock opera and the Zetelaka summer camp
We performed the rock opera in the summer of 2007 with the support of the foundations, with 150 amateur university and secondary school students acting, in Zetelaka for 4,000-5,000 people. The show was free, but we collected donations during the show, as we were having a summer camp for 250 Transylvanian orphans at the same time with the help of the university students on the bank of the reservoir. We divided the donated money among the orphanages.
Our aim was to give these Hungarian people and orphans hope, encouragement and support. Our other aim was to make the university students feel that it is their duty to help their disadvantaged compatriots.

Summer camp
The summer camp has been named "Alliance for life"
Our main intention is to strengthen the idea in the children that the borders do not separate us, as we can easily help and support each other in the widened European Union. Our aim is to show the children how we are connected with the Hungarians living across the border. We want to show them that there is a possibility to live a full life despite all the hardships. We have to emphasize the togetherness especially under critical circumstances.
We also organized a summer camp in remembrance of the time of St. Stephen I in Transylvania, on the bank of the reservoir in Zetelaka between 9 and 17 July, 2007. The summer camp culminated at the show of Stephen the King rock opera by Szorenyi – Brody, that was performed by about 150 students on Saturday night, on 14 July 2007, on the stage which was built on the bank of the reservoir.
The peculiarity of the event was that apart from the acting children, we also included 220 Transylvanian orphans from Gyergyoszentmiklos, Szovata, Csiksomlyo and the Land of the Csangos. We organized them into sub camps, provided them with programs, and they also acted in the show. The performers had performed the rock opera several times before.
On the performance of June 2005 in Szentendre Levente Szorenyi, the author of the rock opera, was also present. We took the show to Beregszasz, south of the Ukraine in July, 2006, where Bishop Antal Majnek and Laszlo Solyom, President of the Hungarian Republic, were the patrols. Both performances were charity aimed at the Foundation of south Ukraine, and at the orphanage being built in the settlement of Rát.
We gathered underprivileged children and orphans from Transylvania, the southern part of Slovakia, Voivodina, the southern part of Ukraine and from Csango Land with the help of the Peter Pazmany Catholic University Ministry, for our summer camp in Csobanka between the 4th and 10th August, 2008, where university students helped us. 300 children and 100 counselors attended the summer camp. We organized the children into small camps of 15-20, with 2 or 3 university students as the head of each, and then we divided them into 4-5 sub camps with one camp leader for each.
We provided the small camps with all kinds of activities: games, excursions, hand-craft workshops, dance classes, etc. At the same time, we wanted to fill them with spiritual content as well, which we hid into their activities. Each day had a topic to which each activity was connected.
They stayed in military tents we collected earlier. We set up a tent for showers. We self-organized our meals, apart from lunch, which was brought from a local eating house.
The camp culminated at two events. Hobo, Laszlo Foldes undertook a charity concert for the children as a surprise, and we took the children on a boat trip on the Danube from Szentendre to the Lagymanyosi Bridge and back.
This summer camp was also organized in 2009. We were really happy to have 500 children this time. We will also organize this camp this summer, where 400 orphans of the Carpathian Basin will attend the camp with the help of 150 university students.
